Leftwich & Ludaway Managing Partner, Natalie O. Ludaway, was reappointed to the District of Columbia Judicial Nominations Committee. On December 23, 2011, Ms. Ludaway was reappointed to the District of Columbia Judicial Nominations Committee which evaluates and recommends applicants for judicial vacancies on both the District of Columbia Superior Court and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Ms. Ludaway’s reappointment will allow her to complete her six-year term through 2016.
L&L Vice President, Sherry Bellamy, was a panelist at the Airport Minority Advisory Council’s 2011 Airport Business Diversity Conference, held in Fort Worth, Texas. Joining a panel of experts led by Amber Gooding, Director of Business Diversity Development, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, in a discussion of “Effective & Legal JV Partnerships,” Ms. Bellamy discussed the FAA’s Joint Venture Guidance, the basic requirements of 49 CFR Parts 23 and 26. She emphasized the importance of knowing your partners before entering into an agreement, and in particular, the need for joint venture participants to carefully conduct due diligence on their potential JV partners.
L&L Senior Vice President, Kim Kendrick, was recently elected to serve as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Shelter House, Inc. Shelter House is a not for profit organization that provides housing and supportive services to persons who are homeless or victims of domestic violence in Fairfax County, Virginia.
