Our practice includes real estate development, real estate financing, and the sale of real estate portfolios, with specific expertise in the areas of acquisitions, financing, public/private partnerships and government development.
Our attorneys have extensive knowledge of the real estate arena and represent individuals, businesses and government agencies in connection with the acquisition of real estate. In addition to negotiating and drafting sales contracts, we assist clients in the due diligence process to ensure that the proposed acquisition has been thoroughly investigated, is appropriate for the intended use and does not have unforeseen liabilities.
L&L attorneys negotiate loan agreements and, when necessary, work-outs for both borrowers and lenders. In addition to conventional financing techniques, we have experience in developing and negotiating financing structures for public/private partnerships, including transactions for local housing agencies, other governmental entities, and non-profits.
L&L advises clients in negotiating the various easements and development agreements necessary for successful development in the current environment. We draft and negotiate effective construction contracts and provide the legal support to manage those contracts during the course of a specific project. We focus on preventative law and believe that problems can be resolved most cost-effectively if they are addressed early.
