Rebecca L. Taylor

Ms. Taylor has been engaged primarily in a civil litigation practice, with an emphasis on employment and contractual matters. She has experience relating to various claims of discrimination, including issues relating to the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, and the District of Columbia Human Rights Act. She also has extensive experience providing employment-related counseling; drafting policies and codes of conduct, as well as operating procedures geared specifically for clients' management personnel; training managers and employees regarding sexual harassment in the workplace; investigating allegations of sexual harassment; and drafting and negotiating employment and severance agreements. Recognizing the importance of keeping clients apprised of new developments in the law, Ms. Taylor regularly assesses her clients' policies to ensure legal compliance. With respect to other litigation, Ms. Taylor is routinely involved in the representation of the firm's corporate clients, including representation relating to breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud issues.

Ms. Taylor currently serves as General Counsel for the Maryland/District of Columbia Minority Suppliers Development Council; is a trustee for the Tree of Life Community Public Charter School; and is a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer for Wings of Joy, Inc.

Ms. Taylor received her Juris Doctorate from The National Law Center at George Washington University (1994) and received her B.A. from the University of Maryland at College Park (1990). She is also a graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) and is barred in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
